Christopher Long-Quan Pham

April 29, 1992 — June 8, 2026

Mission Viejo, CA

Christopher Long-Quan Pham was born on April 29, 1992, in Mission Viejo, California, to his loving parents, Long Pham and Tu Pham. From an early age, he lit up every family event with his signature mischievous smile and playful sense of humor, entertaining his grandparents, parents, sisters, aunts and uncles, and cousins.

Chris attended Mission Viejo High School, where he made lifelong friends with whom he shared many meals, get-togethers, important milestones, and even an international trip despite his aversion to flying. Chris also attended Saddleback College, where he decided to pursue a degree in engineering with the support and inspiration from his classmates. In 2017, he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona. He went on to build a successful career as an electrical engineer, senior consultant, and eventual project engineer, designing power systems for medical centers, hospitals, warehouses, and shopping centers.

Family and friends will always remember Chris as generous, funny, smart, curious, loyal, and kind, while also practical and straightforward. Chris was the glue for his friend group and a best friend to many. He loved organizing adventures, setting up D&D sessions, going to the shooting range, as well as planning elaborate pranks. Chris was a private person, but he had excellent taste and loved to talk about the talented chefs, tattoo artists, and eclectic mix of musicians he admired. He was also an excellent grillmaster and chef himself.

Chris was a rock for the people he loved. He was a great listener, but never hesitated to say what needed to be said. Chris went out of his way to make sure everyone he cared about got to enjoy the best that life has to offer. If he discovered something special, he would immediately think of who he could share it with so that they wouldn’t miss out on the experience. He was always generous and thoughtful, willing to drive long distances, and spend his time and money to bring a smile to those he loved.

Chris was a devoted son who loved to cook for his family, especially his mother and father, as well as his uncles and aunts, and all of his cousins. He was an amazing, supportive brother to his three sisters, Tu-Quyen, Diana, and Victoria, and his brothers-in-law, Joey and Angel. He was also a wonderful uncle who loved and is loved by his nieces, Callie, Phoenix, and Reia (his goddaughter), and his nephew, Wiley.

Chris touched more lives in 34 years than most do in a lifetime. Chris will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. We will miss his warm hugs, dry sense of humor, and the delicious food he made with both skill and love, and will cherish every memory of him.
